So…your special someone decided that she wants to stay in for Valentine’s Day this year. What to do, what to do?! After getting this information, you run to the grocery store to pick up ingredients for her favorite meal (lasagna perhaps?) along with flowers, or maybe a gift. Afterwards, you arrive home and quickly get dinner started. While the lasagna is baking in the oven, you set the table. Nice tablecloth? Check! The nice plates and silverware? Check! Cloth napkins? Check! Relaxing music playing in the background? Check! Everything seems perfect, but then you realize that something’s missing. Hmmmmm…..Light bulb! (pun intended).
Why not set the mood this Valentine’s Day with ENERGY STAR certified, dimmable LED bulbs? Your dinner will surely have a nice, romantic ambiance with the help of these little guys!
Here are some things to keep in mind when shopping for dimmable ENERGY STAR certified LED lightbulbs:
- Although most ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs are dimmable, some are not. Make sure to look on the package to see if the bulbs are made to dim.
- To set the mood you’re looking for, you may want to try out different brands of bulbs. Dimming capabilities can vary based on brand and dimmer compatibility.
- Dimmable LED bulbs that have earned the ENERGY STAR dim to at least 20%…most likely more!
